Earlier today the BBC posted an article about raiding, particularly in relation to hard core or elite raiding and I was interviewed for this article for my “thoughts” about raiding and what my research is telling me. They also spoke to Paragon to get the added perspective from an elite raiding guild (nice job, Xaar!). Here is the article, if you are interested:

So I've been asked to participate in a seminar this weekend where the topic is the "value of research."
So I've been thinking lately about how living in WoW raidingland requires accepting and participating in a lot of change--all the time. We have to change our boss fight strategies, change our specs, change our spell rotations, change our gear (I don't know about you, but I always get a little emotional during levelling when I have to go from all epic to a green/blue mix--purple just looks so much prettier on me). I mean even our software and hardware has to change. And every single blasted expansion, they make us change our "hang out" city.
NOTE: I know it’s been almost a month since I posted the first part of the Personality Test Results, but with Cataclysm, another deadline to complete, and Christmas in the way, it’s taken a while to finish this! Sorry for the delay. But hey! Maybe this will be interesting reading as you grind mats for your new raiding gear…? :)
I assume you're all tracking it, too--the ups and downs of raid progress at the top. Not all of us are raiding yet but we're close to starting, even if we're not quite there yet. But some of us are already making our way through the heroic modes (well, technically only four guilds have done that so far...). I have to admit I've been quite excited by the progress so far; I keep checking the Web site and sometimes gasp at the dramatic shift over the course of the day!
