And here's the conclusion of the interview with the guys from Paragon, including a little offline input from Seita and a drop-in by Paradar towards the end of the discussion.

The Raid Observer: New Interview with Paragon (including Seita, sort of!)
So I cornered a few of the folks from Paragon and we had much fun doing an interview late last week. I've just finished editing and uploading the first part of the interview on my Raid Observer channel, so please do listen and enjoy. The second part will go up in a couple days.

The Raid Observer: A New Podcast and Help Needed With a Research Project (not mine!)
So I've had to restart this post 3 times now. This is apparently the cure for my typical walls of text... I have this unbearable need to keep this brief (before I throw my laptop out of the window).

The Raid Observer: Round Table Podcast with Top Guilds
Last night I sat down and had a long discussion with members of 7 of the world's top ranked 25-man raiding guilds. We discussed the Tier 13 race and issues like the LFR ban, exploits, the content of this tier, the state of the raiding race going forward, the loss of long standing raiding guilds and appearance of new ones on the scene, and the shifting ranks up and down at the top. I thought it was a very informative discussion and I'm grateful to the participants.

It's not often that we have major newspapers reporting on our progress races, but thanks to an eagle-eyed, news-reading (work-procrastinating?) source, I've been alerted to an intriguing piece of news. Oh and vote in my latest poll: http://www.raidingresearch.co.uk/?p=1313. Anyway, read on!

The Raid Observer: A New Year with a new line-up
After a holiday break, the Raid Observer is back with some midstream observations about how things went over Christmas and new years and how things are looking in the race in general.
So I'm back! I hope everyone had a nice holiday period and ate too much. While I was not making updates, I did keep half an eye on the progress rankings and I saw a few interesting trends, which I'll highlight below.

The Raid Observer: Week 4, Starting Over in Fits and Starts
A couple more guilds have broken the 7/8 barrier and some nasty DCs are plaguing the EU servers. Here's a little update from the Raid Observer.
Last night we saw Stars, the highly successful, longtime world-ranked TW server guild (ranked 8th in Firelands), join the two Korean guilds at the top and become the second 25-man raiding guild to have killed the Spine of Death ...
