The Raid Observer: Week 4, Starting Over in Fits and Starts

A couple more guilds have broken the 7/8 barrier and some nasty DCs are plaguing the EU servers. Here's a little update from the Raid Observer.

Last night we saw Stars, the highly successful, longtime world-ranked TW server guild (ranked 8th in Firelands), join the two Korean guilds at the top and become the second 25-man raiding guild to have killed the Spine of Deathwing. And joining them overnight was the French EU 10-man raiding guild, Silent. Silent's a little newer to the scene but ended up 5th on the 10-man raiding race during Firelands. Congratulations to them both! And while we have our first 25-man world first of Madness, it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer for a world first on Madness 10-man. Though if the speed at which Kin Raiders killed Madness is any grounds for comparison, the 10-man world first should come very soon.

On Wednesday morning the EU servers were reset. Now this is ordinarily a time when guilds quickly burn through the earlier bosses in an instance to acquire better gear and resume their efforts on whichever boss they are currently stuck on. But since this is "lucky" Tier 13, even a reset has not been without its own significant issues, with multiple raiders on different servers reporting endless disconnects on the heroic Hagara encounter as well as some reports of problems with Ultraxion. This could prove to be a significant problem to those guilds who are still trying to regain ground on this unprecedented race. Best of luck everyone!
