Arena Pass: Victory!

The sweat was pouring on xenophics' forhead as she waited in the preparation room of Blade's Edge arena for her first real battle. The staff felt heavy on her back and she didn't feel comfortable in her new combat robes. "Ou mai gaad jubeto, mitä me tehää?" she whispered in her native tongue to her companion, a strong and quiet orc warlock Jubeto. Luckily the spellcaster had words of comfort for the nervous troll: "We do what we always do, kill the skull and fear the cross".

We are happy to announce that today we got our first real arena victory. It should have been a tough fight, after all it was agains a warrior and a rogue (I'll probably find out later that it shouldn't have been any problem at all...) and we were victorius. Of course this means we can't play with the team anymore, as we have a 100% win rate. Too bad, I liked the name.

How did we achieve this notable feat of strength then? After last week's bitter defeat we did what we do best in Paragon: start practising, stacking and theorycrafting. In addition to learning to dodge cc's like ring of frost or mushrooms on the ground we held practising periods on target dummies where we theorycrafted the best pvp rotation for the upcoming matches. After these 1 week long experiments we can safely say that shadowbolt hits hard. Another imporvement we were able to make was to stack the raid better. This time we changed a death knight to a priest, which seemed to do the trick. We also started to mark our targets better, and ended up using a skull as kill target and cross as fear target. The fear tactic made us victorious on the arena; the rogue hardly did any damage (even tho I doubt he was having serious issues with his latency).
