Yet another Raid Observer update from the Guest Contributor, Ladan, on the raiding race. This time I'll give you an update on what (may not have) happened over the weekend: continued concern over the LFR situation and more guilds join the raiding fray!

Yet another Raid Observer update from the Guest Contributor, Ladan, on how the raiding race is (not) going so far! Life post-LFR, the emergence of trolls, and more...!
And my usual disclaimer: I am not a member of DREAM Paragon, I have just been asked to provide a regular update on my observations of the raiding race for Patch 4.3 as it unfolds. All typos, misunderstandings, and opinions are my own (though my cat may cause the typos if she walks on my keyboard) and may or may not represent the views of Paragon and its actual members ...

Hello! Guest Contributor Ladan reporting in, giving you some of the highlights of Day 3. It's been a fairly dramatic week considering it's "just" Week 1. Curious? Read on!
Note: The opinions and typos expressed in this and all of my Daily Updates are my own. I am not a member of DREAM Paragon, just an invited guest contributor to their site. Well, not much to report really, mostly just a bit of news on the overall attack of the normal modes by guilds everywhere and a bit of news on what's (not) happening with the elite race so far.
The progress sites continue to be a bit wonky, which I realise will continue until the guild scans and whatnot are complete. Kruf explained this to me last night and while I tried to look (textually speaking) like I had a clue what he was talking about ...

So I'll be posting some basic observations on progress each day during the race itself. In fact Paragon asked me to not just provide updates to interested readers on their progress but also track the race in general. Since raiding began yesterday on the American servers, I'll start off with a short update today and then keep adding information, at least daily and sometimes even more as the race heats up. Yes, yes, I know the "real" race begins next week with the heroic modes, but I think how we're moving through the normal modes can be quite informative ...

It is this time of the year again when a new bag full of content gets thrown through the digital chimneys into our computers. And like every time this happens, there will be people who will post on the internet "Paragon, why do you have no first kills?" or "Paragon, I don't see you on wowprogress. Whats happening?".

This is a shadow priest guide for Dragon Soul normal modes. We won't be focusing on the rotation or theorycraft part of the class. We rather take a look at how the encounters look like as a whole, and what kind of thins our fellow shadow priests should keep in mind when going to pull the boss for the first time. I (xenophics) and Kyy wish that this guide will help you with the upcoming raids starting on next Tuesday/Wednesday.

For starters: Mages again have two competitive specs for raiding through upcoming buffs for the Fire tree, which makes Fire viable once again. I found Arcane’s single target DPS a tad superior yet I would recommend using Fire at almost all of the bosses throughout the instance because of many movement intensive fights, but let’s see if we can find some room for Arcane also (other than bringing 3% damage).

This guide only includes some tricks and tips for the bosses in Dragon Soul normal mode, and some info about the spec, glyphs and tiers. There is nothing about the tricks and tips concerning our rotation, and you can check it out from another site.
Spec: Along these lines, you can play around with it a bit, but that is generally what you'll want for Dragon Soul

This is a Holy Paladin guide for Dragon Soul normal mode healing made based on our ptr experience. Enjoy.
Set bonuses: 2pc is not terribly good, but since the last tier’s 4pc benefits spells that will be seeing less use, there is no problem with switching. The new 4pc is a large boost for the fights where you will use HR, especially Ultraxion.
