On nerfs and hotfixes

Nerfs and hotfixes seem to have played a bigger than usual part in this tier's progress. xenophics takes a look on the two and reflects on how they affect the progress guilds make on hardest of the hard bosses. Are nerfs and hotfixes actually always useful, and should the bosses be rather killed in the "clean way", or is it more interesting to see an innovative way to solve the problems guilds are fighting with?

Life is truly a mysterious thing, it takes you to places you couldn't even have dreamed of. My next big adventure will be my 10+ months study time in Seoul National University of Science and Technology in South Korea, which means I'll be unable to raid in Paragon for that time period.

This is a shadow priest guide for Dragon Soul normal modes. We won't be focusing on the rotation or theorycraft part of the class. We rather take a look at how the encounters look like as a whole, and what kind of thins our fellow shadow priests should keep in mind when going to pull the boss for the first time. Paragon at Digiexpo 4.-5.11.2011

A couple of our members will be attending Digiexpo in Helsinki, Finland this weekend. The fair is held 4.-6.11.2011 at Helsingin Messukeskus, close to Pasila station. We'll be hanging around at Pelaaja booth on Saturday 5th at 15:00 CET together with the editor of Finnish World of Warcraft magazine "WOW-lehti". Come and meet us there!

Digiexpo is the biggest fair in Finland concentrating on consumer electronics. As previous years, this year will also feature a lot of high level e-sports tournamets played at the stage, including an ASUS ROG Starcraft 2 tournament with some big names turning up.

Now with the recent patchnotes for 4.3 were released containing information from the End Time, Hour of Twilight, Well of Eternity, and of course the Dragon Soul, I thought I'd get this started. And I'm talking about hc lore. Even when my guild mates tease me with comments like "make sure you don't watch the rp during the quest line, we won't wait", I'm the kind of player that enjoys the story part of World of Warcraft as well.

It hasn't always been easy going forward, keeping on raiding with our eyes set on getting world first kills and being as good as we can ever be. During the last 3 years we have been able to see things none of us would have imagined to see, go to places we just dreamed of, and met people we didn't know existed.

Tomorrow will be the Firelands live raid with DREAM Paragon from Mogi's apparment, Berlin, Germany. Arx and xenophics will be playing live, and both the point of views will have their own stream with commentators from Manaflask. There will be a QA session before the raid at 16:00 CET, and the actual action starts at 17:00.

arx's point of view will commentated in English by Soe (Manaflask staff) and Felyndiia (For the Horde member)

arxeno in Germany - Gamescom and Berlin journeys

I thought that at some point I might grow tired about saying this, but that point isn't just now so I'll just go ahead and say it one more time: I'm pretty excited to see what this weekend (and the next week) brings. As it says on the front page, I and arx will be heading on another trip again, and this time to Germany.

This time I decided to try something new: writing about the event I attend while it's still going on and not after it when I'm already suffering the post-party feeling. There are pros and cons with this tactics though, one of the downsides is that while I write about what is going on I'm missing out on some of the fun :/

The pictures from our Dreamhack Summer 2011 are now on Facebook for everyone to watch. We had a great trip and would like to thank SteelSeries, Asus, Nordrassil Radio, Total Biscuit and everyone we met there for making as awesome as it was.

There will be at least one blog about the details (the ones you can't quess from the pictures) when xeno stops being ill. Also, if you have pictures that include us, we'd love to see them. So please post a link here.
